Referencing the Shinigami from the anime Death Note named "Rem", Twizzie plays as the watcher of someone he cares for.
This song is about listening to someone who needs to vent, and not try to twist everything they say into an optimistic tone. This something a lot of people often do when someone opens up, they try to fix it by giving obvious advice and giving them a positive look in the situtation, which can sometimes be irritating for someone who just wants a shoulder to cry on (on this case, an ear to scream on)
Allowing them to reveal their stress and not judging them, showing empathy. Sometimes, all they need is someone that can listen, and not provide all the solutions.
lyrics
Verse 1
bruh- sometimes all I needs release/ whoa
can't hold it in till im deceased/ -no
I wish, I wish I had the keys to your heart/
but it's lost. So you ghost/ Now I'm back up from the start. -damn-
Admitting shit isn't perfect/
ironically can be what makes it worth it.
Tellin me Ima win, when it aint realistic/
isn’t looking out for me. Can't you see it's only hurting.
How do we better asses situation if all that we see is the brightside/
Open to being provoked, cuz thas the way we both can get on the right mind.
I dont wna hear no silver lining, quit tellin me to dream on.
all I want is for you to lend me an ear to scream on,
Hook:
You - don't need to bury yourself/
I'm here for you if there's nobody else.
I- Can't take another fake smile
Call me the coward while your living a lie.
It feels good, to let go.
Won't let it consume me.
It feels good, to not be alone
Thank you for listening.
Verse: 2
Ima need you to surrender/
for the moment cuz it's not about what's worse or better.
-- Can you Shut up and just listen?/
Understand the process is not about competition.
yuh-- this aint something you can fanthom, or imagine/
dont say you get it, if you haven't had it happen.
If it was me, Ima letchu be a mess/
Cry your heart out. Show me ugly. So they only see your best.
